Join a team

This section will provide information on how to invite a new team member to join your team.

Overview to Join a team

A team name is the same as an organisation name, the name you want all team members to come under and see.

If you have not yet installed the EmuCast desktop app, go to guide section 'Installing EmuCast' for assistance.

To join a team, you must first be invited to join by an existing team member with admin role permissions. For information on how to add a new team member to your team, refer to section 'Add/Delete users/team members'.

There are 3 methods an Admin team member can use to invite a new user to join the team.

  1. Join via 'Join Your Team' link

  2. Join team via 'Web page Login'

  3. Join team via desktop Client App -'Join Team'

Once invited, the new user will receive an email notification to their nominated email account from the inviting team member. This email will contain a 'Join Your Email' link and a 6 digit 'Join code' used as part of new user authentication process.

Join via 'Join Your Team' Link

These instructions will guide a new user through the process to join the team once they have received their email notification by selecting the email notification 'Join Your Team' link.

Step 1. Admin Team member invites new user to 'join the team', refer to section 'Add/Delete users/team members' for details.

Step 2. New user receives to their nominated email account an invite email notification from inviting team member to join team. This email will contain a 'Join Your Team' action link and contain a unique 6 digit join code.

Step 3. Click on the 'Join Your Team' action link within received email notification to start login authentication process.

Step 4. Select your preferred login authentication method.

We've built our login SSO model around allowing customers to utilise their existing ID & Passwords from popular new age SaaS tools such as (Google, Twitter, Facebook, Github) to authenticate when logging into EmuCast.

If for example you click 'Continue with Google', google will ask you to select your google account if you have more than one, if it's your 1st time logging into EmuCast you will be asked to enter your password.

Following this process, the email notification 'Join Code' was entered into the 'Join Team' field automatically, the user will progress seamlessly through to the EmuCast Account page.

Welcome to EmuCast. You have now successfully logged in, authenticated and completed the new account creation process but you're not quite ready yet. Go to Step 6 to install desktop client app if you haven't already.

Step 6. Click on 'Download EmuCast App' to start the desktop client application installation process so you can start collaborating with your team.

You have now completed the new user creation process. To learn how to install EmuCast desktop client application, go to guide section 'Installing EmuCast' and select guide appropriate to your operating system.

Join team via Web page Login

These instructions will guide the new user through the process to join the team and start the new user joining authentication process by using your 'Join Your Team' 6 digital authentication code.

Step 1. Admin Team member invites new user to 'Join the team'. New team member will receive an email notification with 6 digit authentication code.

Step 2. Go to EmuCast web site.

Step 3. On the EmuCast web site home screen scroll to bottom of page and click on 'Login'. This will commence the login authentication process and new user creation.

Step 4. Select your preferred login authentication method.

Join team via desktop Client App

These instructions will guide a new team member through the process to join the team and start the new user joining authentication process by using your 'Join Your Team' 6 digit authentication code via the EmuCast desktop client application.

Note: These instructions assume you have already downloaded the EmuCast desktop client application but not yet (joined a team, created your EmuCast account or your maybe joining a new team).

Step 1. Admin Team member invites new user to 'Join the team'. New team member will receive an email notification with 6 digit authentication code.

Step 2. Click on your EmuCast desktop client app task bar icon to open your onscreen icon then also select.

Step 3. Click on the 'Login to continue' button.

Step 4. Select your preferred login authentication method.

Users will now progress seamlessly through to the EmuCast Account page.

Your EmuCast desktop client application should now be ready to commence using and collaborating in team rooms with your team.
