To download the EmuCast desktop client application for windows PC's, the following options are available for new users from the EmuCast web site.
Installation from EmuCast web site home page => 'Download for Windows' button for new users
Installation from EmuCast web site => Manage Users page for new users who haven't downloaded app before
Re-installation of Desktop App for existing users
These instructions will help you download the EmuCast desktop client application from the EmuCast home page 'Download for Windows' link located bottom of page.
Step 1. Go to EmuCast home page.
Step 2. Select 'Download for Windows'.
Step 3. Your download of the EmuCast client app has commenced. Follow one of the below steps depending on your browser:
For Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge browser: Click 'Run' to install file or 'Save'. If select 'Save' you can save to your download folder or 'Save as' to a location then click to install.
For Firefox or Safari: On the top-right corner of the browser, click the Download option to view the downloaded files, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
For Chrome: On the bottom-left corner, double-click the file that you downloaded.
If your '.exe' file disappears before your able to select, go to your 'windows explorer', then 'download' folder and you should find the EmuCast+Setup+1....exe file. Double click and installation will commence.
If you receive during the EmuCast installation process a Windows Defender SmartScreen alert notification, please follow the below steps in this information advice section.
You can either turn off 'Windows Defender SmartScreen' while you install EmuCast application and/or you can 'Unblock' the EmuCast file depending on your browser chosen.

Now you have 'unblocked' the application file double clicked the EmuCast.exe file and installation should commence. The EmuCast Setup window will appear showing progress of installation. Once completed window will disappear.
Step 5. At end of installation process your EmuCast client app icons will then install. Client app icon will install into your task bar and on screen.
Customers can sign in and create their EmuCast account then download their EmuCast desktop client application. You can download the desktop client application from the Manage Users page.
Note: It is assumed you've already created your account and team and are on the Manage Users page but have not yet downloaded/installed your EmuCast desktop client app.
Step 1. Go to EmuCast and Login.
Step 2. Select the 'Manage Users' page.
Step 3. Click on the 'Download EmuCast App' button.
Step 4. Click on the EmuCast client app download button appropriate for your operating system, either 'macOS or Windows'.
Step 5. For instructions on how to download and install the EmuCast desktop client app from this point, window users follow the instructions above called 'Install via EmuCast home page' and for macOS users go to the guide 'Installing EmuCast on Apple MacOS' and follow the instructions.
EmuCast customers can re-install the desktop client application as required.
Step 1. To re-install the desktop client application, go to Manage Users page and select 'Download EmuCast app'.
Step 2. Go to the 'Install via Manage Users' page instructions above and follow the steps to download and install the app. The installation will install over the top of your existing EmuCast version.

Step 2. Go to the 'Install via EmuCast home page' page instructions above and follow the steps to download and install the app. The installation will install over the top of your existing EmuCast version.
